THE PSW PROGRAM

Certified Personal Support Workers are trained in school to give excellent care to client. The program deal with providing care to the elderly that reflects a holistic, coordinated and integrated approach to the provision of care required by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Program and Services Standards, Residents Bill of Rights and the principles of individualized care planning.

School offer Personal Support Worker Program for a period of six months. We offer Advanced Standing for students who have background in Health Sciences education.

Personal Support Workers will gain knowledge and skill and Competencies required to be employed as PSW. The program Modules accurately reflect the elements, component of major task and contributing task are incorporated and covered  in the learning Modules utilizing various media, including instructions, interactive discussion, group activities, videos, and coaching technique. The instructor will provide technical and practical hands on  training to gain  knowledge and skills required.

The learning sequence provides a logical and straight forward approach to learning the core knowledge and competences. It moves the student from learning the technical knowledge required to the practical elements of a Personal Support Workers
